Approach
When complexity overwhelms, sensemaking becomes the work.
Genero’s approach is guided, grounded and deeply human. We don’t arrive with answers; we arrive with curiosity. We create the conditions for people to think together, reduce defensiveness, and see the system that’s shaping them. It’s grounded in Mutual Learning, transparency, curiosity, compassion, and accountability, so every conversation builds capability, not dependency. We walk beside leaders, not ahead of them. We help them see clearly, act coherently, and lead with courage when things get complex.
Process
Helping human systems to navigate complexity, change, and uncertainty.
Sense what's really happening
Before organisations can move forward, they need to make sense of where they are. We help teams uncover the patterns, assumptions, and relationships shaping the challenges they face.
Learn your way forward
Real change isn't delivered through a perfect plan. It grows through curiosity, experimentation, and the confidence to adapt as new understanding emerges.
Think together
The best ideas rarely come from one person. We create space for diverse perspectives, honest conversations, and shared learning that leads to new possibilities.
Leave stronger than you arrived
Our goal isn't simply to solve a problem. It's to help people and teams build and evolve the capability, relationships, and ways of working that allow them to navigate future challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

Values
Simple principles for navigating complexity together.
Courageously Curious
We trade ego for exploration. We look closely at tough problems, ask bold questions, and aren't afraid to say "we don't know yet." For us, learning isn't just a phase, it’s an ongoing adventure that we love sharing with others.
Serious Fun
We believe the best work happens when people actually enjoy doing it. We mix deep, rigorous thinking with a sense of playfulness and experimentation, providing an environment that can stay open to bigger ideas and build stronger connections.
No Smoke. No Mirrors.
What you see is exactly what you get. We don't hide behind corporate jargon, vanity metrics, or empty promises. Instead, we choose radical honesty in our pricing, our timelines, and our feedback, even when it's uncomfortable.
Seeing What Matters
We cut through the noise to find out what is actually going on. We enjoy turning confusing situations into clear paths forward, helping teams focus on the foundational truths that create real trust and long-term purpose.

Who We Are
We guide and inspire individuals and groups through stages of stuckness.
Sandra Banister
For over two decades, I have partnered with executives and teams to move through workplace turbulence drawing on my experience as a co-founding director of regional leadership and consultancy groups. My background spans North American oil exploration, global publishing, and brand consulting. Today, I bring that real-world perspective to helping people navigate deep organisational changes, complex challenges, and unpredictable environments.
I don’t believe in rigid checklists or one-size-fits-all fixes. Instead, my work is guided by a deep belief in curiosity, shared inquiry, and the creative potential of paradox. I am passionate about treating confusion and conflict not as roadblocks, but as vital sparks for growth. For me, it is about building trusting alliances, expanding human capacity, and helping your organisation co-create a more adaptive, collaborative, and resilient future.
John Wynen
As a senior officer navigating multiple portfolios, I learned leadership from inside real‑world complexity shaped by community expectations, political dynamics, and tight constraints. That breadth gave me a deep, practical understanding of how leadership works under pressure, where governance, people, risk, and public trust collide.
I see confusion and conflict as invitations, not obstacles, helping teams cut through noise, think more clearly, appreciate each other’s strengths, and co‑create adaptive, collaborative ways of working that strengthen human capacity and organisational resilience.
